After two solid months of development, the first suite of FL2 learning activities is nearing completion. They will now undergo review from the Reference Group, and be trialed in language classes at Flinders University and at the University of Sydney. We cannot wait to see how they are received from our students!
If you would like to preview and perhaps trial some of the FL2 learning activities in your own teaching context, you can request access to the database by contacting the Project team. Greater Good in Action is a freely accessible online collection of the best research-based methods for a happier, more meaningful life. It is produced by the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley. We are very grateful to GGIA for allowing the FL2 project to utilise some of the practices available from their website.
Early in January 2016, the recipients of the 2015 Seed Grants were finally announced. We were delighted to learn that the FL2 project was selected by the Office for Learning and Teaching as worth investing in.
Over the month of January, we will be busy planning our activities for the rest of the year, and getting our tools and resources ready for what promises to be an exciting time for us, for our students, and for the field of second language acquisition. So watch this space, and don't forget to subscribe to this blog to receive updates on our progress. |
